On January 22, a public speaking competition was held in Tallinn as part of the district stage of the English Language Olympiad. Our school was represented by Elizaveta Tarasevich (12C) and Zakhar Savitsky (11C).
The competition consisted of three rounds. In the first round, participants delivered a pre-prepared 5-minute speech on a given topic. Those who advanced to the second round received a new topic and prepared a 3-minute impromptu speech on the spot. Based on the third round, the top 12 participants were selected to represent Tallinn at the national stage.
Zakhar successfully delivered his speech in the first round and advanced to the second round of the competition. Elizaveta confidently passed all three rounds, placed among the top 12 students in Tallinn, and on March 6 will represent our school and the city in the final competition in Tartu.
Congratulations to our students on their outstanding results, and best of luck to Elizaveta in the final!
