On February 12th, one of the most significant events of the academic year took place: a nationwide Russian language and literature competition for students in grades 5–9. This year, the competition was held online and was dedicated to a major milestone: the 500th anniversary of the Estonian book.

The works of Eno Raua, Oskar Luts, and Eduard Bornhöft are considered the cornerstones of Estonian literature. Our students represented the school with great distinction and received certificates of appreciation for their participation.

Congratulations to our participants:

6th Grade:

  • Khorunzha, Arina
  • Stetsenko, Arina

  • Ševtšuk, Martin

7th Grade:

9th Grade:

  • Sedova, Uljana

"Participating in competitions like these is not merely a test of knowledge, but an opportunity to view familiar pages through a new lens and to feel the connection between eras through the medium of the book," remarked the organizers and educators.

We thank our students for their courage and erudition, and our teachers for their excellent preparation. We wish our young scholars new literary discoveries and many victories in the future!
